Best in Show Winners of the Last Decade

2014: Nathan the Bloodhound
This year's National Dog Show champion is Nathan the Bloodhound. Registered as GCH Flessner’s International S’cess, Nathan beat out a Bearded Collie, Affenpinscher, Smooth Fox Terrier and Gordon Setter to take home the Best in Show title.

2013: Jewel the American Foxhound
Jewel, an American Foxhound, took home Best in Show in 2013. In fact, she was the first dog from the Hound group to ever win The National Dog Show in the competition's 12-year history.

2012: Sky the Wire Fox Terrier
For the first time ever, in 2012, a breed repeated as Best in Show at The National Dog Show. Sky, a Wire Fox Terrier whose registered name is GCH Afterall Painting the Sky, took top honors for the breed for the second year in a row. A Wire Fox Terrier named Eira won Best in Show the year before.

2011: Eira the Wire Fox Terrier
Eira the Wire Fox Terrier claimed the Best in Show title in 2011. The then 4-year-old, whose official name is GCH Steele Your Heart, beat an English Springer Spaniel, Affenpinscher, Australian Shepherd, Dalmatian, Bernese Mountain Dog and
Whippet to win the competition. But she wasn't new to winning dog shows, The National Dog Show win was her 17th Best in Show.

2010: Clooney the Irish Setter
An Irish Setter named Clooney was crowned 2010 National Dog Show champion. Registered as GCH Windntide Mr. Sandman, Clooney topped a strong field of contenders that year, which included a Boxer with 52 Best in Show victories.

2009: Sadie the Scottish Terrier
In 2009, Scottish Terrier Ch Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot, also known as Sadie, earned her 100th Best in Show award at The National Dog Show. She later went on the win the 2009 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship and 2010 Westminster Dog Show.

2008: Holly the Pointer
The years 2007 to 2008 were incredible for Ch Cookieland Seasyde Hollyberry the Pointer (aka Holly). Not only did she win the 2008 National Dog Show, she amassed 10 Best in Show titles in a row, making her the winningest Sporting dog in history.

2007: Swizzle the Australian Shepherd
The 2007 National Dog Show champion was an Australian Shepherd named Swizzle. Registered as Ch Buff Cap Cresland Arctionist, the herding dog beat 150 breeds to earn his Best in Show title.

2006: Vikki the Toy Poodle
Vikki the Toy Poodle took home the Best in Show title in 2006. Officially known as Ch Smash JP Win a Victory, she lived up to her name when she earned eight Best in Show wins out of the 12 shows in which she competed.

2005: Rufus the Bull Terrier
Ch Rocky Top's Sundance Kid (or Rufus for short), who was 6-and-a-half years old in 2005, retired from the show dog circuit at the peak of his career. The Bull Terrier won the 2005 National Dog Show and took home 128 Best in Group titles and 35 Best in Shows.

2004: Gracie the Fox Terrier
A Fox Terrier named Ch Aimhi Avalon Renaissance, or Gracie, won Best in Show at the 2004 National Dog Show. Upon retiring from the rings, the Terrier became a registered therapy dog and visited residents at retirement homes.
