Service Dogs Swim at Invictus Games

After staying by their handlers’ sides throughout the Invictus Games in Disney World, the service dogs who help the wounded veterans got the best reward: a chance to compete in an adorable, friendly swim race. The dogs — many of them water-loving Labs — got to dive in and swim a few laps as the games ended on Thursday night. Prince Harry created the games in 2014 for servicemembers with life-changing injuries. He was there to help the wet dogs out of the pool before the closing ceremonies. “The dogs are providing a huge service to these guys,” said retired U.S. Air Force Sgt. Leonard Anderson, who was at the games with his dog, Azza. “She's the reason I'm here.”
