The Rottweiler has seen the opposite trend — she's upwardly mobile! The Rottie rose from No. 13 in 2009 to her current rank of No. 9.

The Poodle has been a member of the American Kennel Club for more than a century now — since 1887! According to the 2015 data, he is the No. 8 dog in America, down one spot from No. 7 the year before.

The Yorkshire Terrier may be little, but she's putting up a big fight to stay in the top 10. After spending two years at No. 6 in 2013 and 2014, she has dropped one slot to No. 7.

And the award for the biggest mover and shaker this past year goes to: the French Bulldog! The fun Frenchie jumped an impressive three slots from No. 9 in 2014 to No. 6 in 2015 — surpassing the Boxer, Poodle and Yorkie. The French Bulldog has risen 32 spots over the past 10 years.

We bet the Beagle is looking over her shoulder for the French Bulldog, but for now, she's safe at No. 5.

Slowly but surely, the Bulldog's star has been on the rise. He climbed from No. 7 in 2009 to No. 5 in 2013, and then in 2014 hopped to No. 4 — where he's currently maintaining.
